Facts:
-Ivan the Terrible was born in August 25, 1530.
-He started ruling at the age of 3 in 1533 after his father’s death.
-In 1547, he became the first crowned czar of all of Russia. During the same year he married his first wife who died ten years later. He married many times after that but it seems his first marriage was the happiest. -Ivan’s power became absolute when he became successfully conquered Siberia.
-In 1582 he killed his son out of a fit of rage. Because of his fits of rage many people believed he was mentally unstable. In that same year, Russia lost it’s far Northern territories and it’s access to the Baltic Sea.
-Ivan the Terrible died on March 18, 1584.
-In 1584, when Ivan the Terrible died, he left behind two sons. After his death, Russia became a political and economical mess.
-He was the grandson of Ivan the Great.
